      The Deer Enclosure

     by Wang Wei

In pathless hills no man’s in sight,

But I still hear echoing sound.

In gloomy forest peeps no light,

But sunbeams slant on mossy ground.

Translated by Xu Yuanchong

The Deer Enclosure is a poem written by poet Wang wei from the Tang Dynasty. Wang Wei lived in the mountains at this time, and there was no one in front of him, but he heard someone talking from a distance, and the voice of the air expressed the silence and loneliness in the mountains.
