CIT Students Excel in “Nanfang Cup” 2026 Jilin Provincial College Students 

Surveying & Mapping Innovation and Entrepreneurship Intelligence Competition

“Nanfang Cup” 2026 Jilin Provincial College Students Surveying and Mapping Innovation and Entrepreneurship Intelligence Competition was held recently at the Chaoyang Campus of Jilin University. CIT students secured a total of 29 individual awards, including 6 top prizes, 10 first prizes, and 13 second prizes. Five faculty members were recognized as Outstanding Advisors.



The competition was hosted by the Department of Education of Jilin Province, the Jilin Provncial Society of Surveying & Mapping and Geoinformation, and the Jilin Provincial Association of Surveying & Mapping and Geoinformation Industries, organized by Jilin University, and co-organized by Jilin Nanfang Surveying & Mapping Technology Co., Ltd. The event featured multiple categories, including digital mapping simulation, UAV aerial survey simulation, airborne LiDAR simulation, surveying programming, virtual-physical collaborative digital mapping simulation, and surveying science and technology paper competition. These categories deeply integrated cutting-edge technologies such as virtual simulation and intelligent algorithms, providing a comprehensive assessment of participants’ theoretical knowledge, professional practice skills, and innovative thinking.


Following a rigorous multi-tiered campus selection process, CIT fielded 35 teams from Surveying & Mapping major, and 18 teams from non-Surveying and Mapping majors to compete in all categories of the event. Participating faculty and students devoted themselves to thorough preparation, approaching their training with a diligent attitude, strong commitment, and rigorous academic discipline. These achievements underscore the solid professional foundation and notable innovative capabilities of CIT students. CIT will seize this opportunity to further deepen its teaching reform, leveraging competition participation as a catalyst to enhance learning, teaching, and innovation, and to continuously improve the quality of talent cultivation.
