From September 13 to 14, the 2025 Jilin Provincial Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry Chemical Analyst Skills Competition was successfully held at CIT. Organized by the Jilin Provincial Federation of Trade Unions and the Jilin Energy and Chemical Industry Trade Union, the event was co-hosted by CIT and Dirui Medical Technology Co., Ltd. It attracted technical backbone staff from multiple enterprises across the province. After intensive heats, 17 contestants advanced to the final round, and three top performers will represent Jilin Province in the national competition.
With the core aim of “sharpening front-line technicians’ hands-on skills”, the competition comprised two modules: theoretical knowledge and practical operation. The practical section, conducted in the laboratories of CIT’s School of Science, covered chemical analysis, spectrophotometric analysis and chromatographic analysis, fully assessing competitors’ proficiency in standard experimental procedures, precision-instrument operation, data processing and safety awareness.
During the competition, Wang Jun, Chairman of the Jilin Energy and Chemical Industry Trade Union, visited the venue to give guidance, while leaders from CIT’s School of Science and Dirui Medical Technology jointly supervised competition services to guarantee professionalism, fairness and safety.
As the host institution, CIT set up a dedicated organizing committee and mobilized staff and student volunteers to support the competition. The successful staging of the competition is a vivid demonstration of the university’s commitment to industry-education integration. By joining forces with leading enterprises to build a competitive platform, the university has further aligned itself with regional industrial needs, promoted the deep integration of university teaching and research with corporate resources, upgraded talent capacity in the sector, and injected fresh momentum into the high-quality development of Jilin province’s chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
