China International Fashion Week 2025 recently concluded, during which Chen Jia, a faculty member of the School of Art and Design of CIT, was awarded one of the “Top Ten Fashion Designers of Jilin Province Award 2025” and brought the university–enterprise cooperative brand “HEZHUO” to the runway. Within the dedicated show for Jilin’s award-winning designers, she unveiled her thematic collection, showcasing the achievements of the industry–education integration of CIT.

The “Top Ten Fashion Designers of Jilin Province Award”, organized annually by the Jilin Provincial Fashion Designers Association, is the province’s premier professional honour, representing the highest level of fashion design and industry influence in Jilin Province.
On the catwalk, Ms. Chen presented the womenswear series “HEZHUO・Impermanence”. Developed through the joint R&D platform of “HEZHUO”, the collection combines intangible-heritage craftsmanship with market-oriented innovation, solving technical bottlenecks in inheriting and commercializing traditional techniques while providing staff and students with a real-world practice arena—creating a win-win resonance between teaching outcomes and industrial needs.

The fashion show was a concentrated presentation and market test of CIT’s industry-education integration. Under the “teacher-led + enterprise-backed + student-engaged” model, the School of Art and Design has already incubated more than ten original fashion pieces, opening up a niche market for high - end ready - to - wear customization for clothing enterprises. The college will continue to deepen industry-education collaboration, fueling the high-quality development of the regional fashion industry.
