On July 19, the 2025 International Conference on Clean Energy and Electrical Engineering, hosted by CIT, was held at Huatian Hotel in Changchun. Song Lijun, Secretary of the Party Committee of CIT, and Chen Mei, Second-level Inspector of the Jilin Provincial Department of Education, attended the opening ceremony and delivered welcome speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by Wang Chaoyong, Vice President of CIT.
Chen Mei pointed out in her speech that this conference is of great significance in promoting higher education, scientific and technological innovation, and economic development in Jilin province, as well as in realizing cross-country, cross-region, and cross-industry talent introduction, cultivation, and academic exchanges. She hoped that Changchun Institute of Technology, along with relevant research institutions, enterprises, and public institutions in the industry, would take this international academic conference as an opportunity to jointly promote the vigorous development of higher education in Jilin province.
Secretary Song Lijun noted in his speech that this conference has built an important academic exchange platform for experts and scholars in the field of clean energy and electrical engineering at home and abroad. It will surely further promote the construction and development of intelligent clean energy and electrical engineering in Jilin Province, broaden channels for talent introduction and cultivation, foster more high-level technical talents, and help Jilin Province take the lead in achieving new breakthroughs in its comprehensive revitalization.
The conference invited Cai Wei, Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Engineering and Professor of Harbin University of Science and Technology; Mauro Cappelli, Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and Professor of the University of L’Aquila in Italy; Chen Zhe, Member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences and Tenured Professor of Aalborg University; and Dr. Francesco Salvatore, Chief Researcher of the Italian Institute of Marine Engineering, to deliver keynote speeches. Meanwhile, 6 parallel sessions were organized, where experts and professors from various universities and research institutions were invited to give special reports, and participating guests exchanged ideas and conducted discussions about the theme.
During the conference, CIT signed strategic cooperation agreements on university-enterprise collaboration with 5 enterprises, namely Changchun Datang Huizhong Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Aobohai Technology Co., Ltd., SuperCoreLink Micro Technology Co., Ltd, , CGN (Jilin) New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd., and Nong’an Biomass Power Plant of Huaneng Jilin Power Generation Co., Ltd..
This conference covered multiple technical fields such as smart grids, energy storage technology, and clean energy, gathering over 300 famous experts and scholars from relevant fields at home and abroad. Participants came from 7 countries including China, Denmark, Italy, South Africa, France, Spain, and Iran, as well as more than 50 universities, enterprises, and research institutions, such as Tsinghua University and Harbin Institute of Technology. Co-organizers including Jilin University, Northeast Electric Power University, Northeast Normal University, Changchun University of Technology, Shenyang University of Technology, Hebei Electrotechnical Society, Jilin Province Electrotechnical Society, Liaoning Electrotechnical Society, and IEEE Harbin Section provided strong assistance and support for the conference. The successful holding of the conference has played a positive role in promoting technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the field of clean energy and electrical engineering, laying a solid foundation for the further development of China’s electrical engineering technology.
