Recently, Vice President Zhang Bangcheng led a delegation to participate in the 9th Sino-German Forum held in Saarbrucken, Germany. The forum was hosted by University of Applied Sciences in Saarland, and more than 60 experts and scholars from nearly 30 universities and institutions in China and Germany participated in the forum.
With the theme of The dual-system applied higher education Model of China and Germany - Industrial Demand and Educational Demand, The attending representatives exchanged views on three topics: "Sino-German dual-system higher education Model", "school-enterprise cooperation - Mutual learning, hand in hand" and "Future capacity - Cultivating future-oriented professionals". It deepens the understanding of each other's needs among schools, students and enterprises under the dual education mode, and also lays a more solid foundation for further cooperation in the training of applied talents.
During the conference, Vice President Zhang Bangcheng gave a keynote speech on the theme of Research and Practice of the 'Two-Oriented, Three Integrated, and Five Common' Talent Training Model for Local Applied Universities at the sub forum, introducing the experience and achievements of CIT high-level applied talents training to the conference, which attracted high attention from the attending representatives. Vice President Zhang Bangcheng also presided over the third sub-forum Future-oriented Professionals Training on behalf of CIT.
The delegation also visited University of Applied Sciences in Saarland and had an in-depth exchange with its president, Professor Dieter Reinhardt, visited specialized laboratories and participated in a series of seminars with the participants.
During the meeting, Vice President Zhang Bangcheng exchanged views with Professor Hans Wernagro and Professor Mark Dyson Roth, a well-known expert in the field of renewable energy, from the School of Engineering of Saarland University of Technical Economics, and discussed cooperation and exchanges in professional fields such as vehicle engineering, new energy science and engineering, and reached cooperation intentions in teacher exchange, student joint training and academic research cooperation.
It is reported that the first session of "Sino-German Forum: Training high-level Applied Talents" was held in Hangzhou, China, under the initiative of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology. The purpose of the Forum is to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between China and Germany in the field of high-level applied personnel training, and promote the cooperation and development of higher education between the two countries. In 2009, CIT participated in the second Sino-German Forum and became a member of the forum. By 2023, 62 Chinese and German member universities have joined the Forum.
