On June 16, 2024“Southern Cup” Jilin Provincial College Students Surveying and Mapping Innovation and Entrepreneurship Intelligence Competition, sponsored by Jilin Provincial Department of Education, Jilin Provincial Surveying and Mapping and Geographic Information Society and Jilin Provincial Surveying and Mapping and Geographic Information Industry Association, hosted by CIT and co-organized by Southern Surveying and Mapping Group, came to a successful end.
CIT Vice President Zhang Bangcheng delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He introduced the basic situation, development history and achievements of our college, and pointed out that the holding of the College students surveying and mapping Innovation and Entrepreneurship Intelligence Competition is the embodiment of CIT adhering to the concept of innovation and entrepreneurship and providing students with a broader development platform, and it is also a beneficial attempt to constantly explore new ideas for the cultivation of surveying and mapping professionals, innovate new paths for talent training, and improve new models for talent training. He hoped that all the contestants would cherish this opportunity to show themselves, communicate and exchange information with mapping experts and related engineering experts in the province and from the universities, with full passion and high fighting spirit, strive to be the first, live up to your youth, and to realize the dream of becoming a strong country with science and technology.
This competition includes a total of 5 competitions: virtual simulation digital mapping, virtual simulation UAV aerial survey, virtual simulation LIDAR, surveying and mapping program design and surveying and mapping science and technology paper, all of which are in line with the national undergraduate group college students surveying and mapping innovation and entrepreneurship intelligent competition. More than 300 contestants from 14 colleges and universities in the province participated, and the outstanding contestants who stood out in the competition will represent Jilin Province to participate in the 2024 National College Students Surveying and Mapping Innovation and Entrepreneurship Intelligence Competition.
Fortythree students from CIT participated in the competition and won three grand prizes, 10 first prizes and 15 second prizes. The competition was organized and prepared by the School of Exploration and Mapping Engineering of CIT, and assisted and supported by the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education.
