In order to promote the series of campus reading festival activities and deepen the development of CIT national reading activities, from May 17 to 18, the school organized more than 400 teachers and students to go to Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Center to carry out themed reading research and volunteer service practice activities.
With the theme of "Meet Jidi and enjoy the fragrance of books together", the main venue of the First Northeast China Book Fair is located in Hall 1-5 of Changchun International Convention and Exhibition Center, with a total area of more than 21,000 square meters in 12 special exhibition areas, providing a comfortable environment for viewing and buying books, and bringing a cultural feast for readers and colleagues who love library industry. The students who participated in the book fair expressed that for the first time, they have seen a massive collection of high-quality books, rich cultural activities and wonderful intangible cultural heritage exhibitions in such a concentrated and intuitive way, deeply felt the long history of Chinese civilization and the vast and profound Chinese culture, and deeply felt the vigorous strength of cultural confidence in their hearts.
During the study period, CIT Document Information Service Center provides a platform for students to recommend their favorite books to the library, and students select and recommend books worthy of collection according to their own reading interests and academic needs.
It is reported that the students from CIT Morning Youth Volunteer Federation also went to the Book Fair on May 18 to carry out volunteer service practice activities. The volunteers demand themselves with strict conference standards, always provide patient guidance, smile service, and complete the volunteer service work of the Fair with a warm, thoughtful, serious and responsible attitude, demonstrating the spirit of CIT young students practicing volunteer spirit and being brave enough to take responsibility.
