CIT Dr. Fan Jun Project Team Won the Bronze Award in the 

Second National Post-Doctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

Recently, the final of the second National Post-doctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition with the theme of "Wisdom Empower Development and Innovation Leading the Future" was held in Yantai, Shandong Province. Dr. Fan Jun of CIT College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering won the National Bronze Award for her innovative research and outstanding performance in the project "Research and Development and Industrialization of Biodegradable fully Absorbed Magnesium Alloy Medical Materials".

Previously, Dr. Fan Jun stood out in the Jilin Province competition, won the entrepreneurship group excellence award, and as a member of the Jilin Province delegation shortlisted for the national finals. In this competition, Dr. Fan Jun's winning project, with Changchun Institute of Technology as the technical support unit, is committed to the research and development, production of biodegradable fully absorbed magnesium alloy medical materials and the development and industrialization of downstream products. Clinical applications of medical magnesium alloy materials include orthopedics, tumor, vascular system and muscle, etc. Related products include bone fixation devices, cardiovascular stents, skull locks, bone-filled stents and anastomosis nails.


It is reported that the National Post-doctoral Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition will provide support for the transformation of the award-winning projects. The award of Dr. Fan Jun's project has made a positive contribution to serving the high-quality development strategy of "one master and six pairs" in Jilin Province.
