Recently, the four members of the science and innovation team of "Cold Urban Public Art and Regional Culture Inheritance and Development" from the School of Art and Design of Changchun Institute of Technology, led by teacher Fu Zhenyu, went to Harbin, Heilongjiang Province to conduct relevant research and academic exchanges around "Ice and snow art to create urban public space". During the two days of research, the team members visited the Ice and Snow Art Center of Harbin University, the Teaching and Experiment Center of the School of Art and Design of Harbin University, the Ice Print Art Center of Heilongjiang Oriental University, and the Harbin Ice and Snow Culture Museum, etc., and carried out research exchanges and literature collection work.
Members of the Science and Technology Innovation Team and Associate Professor Zhu Jinsong, director of the Ice and Snow Art Center of Harbin University, focused on the theme of "Public art and regional culture inheritance and development in cold urban areas", conducted an in-depth discussion on construction strategies , research methods, and collected relevant research materials. During the visit to the Ice and Snow Art Center of Harbin University, the team members also had in-depth exchanges with many teachers of the ice and Snow Art Center on the theoretical research and practical exploration of ice and snow culture and art.

Subsequently, the team members went to Heilongjiang Oriental University School of Art and Design to visit Professor Zhu Xiaodong, founder of ice print. Visited the Ice Printmaking Art Center to learn and exchanged ice printmaking techniques.

The research team also came to Harbin Ice and Snow Culture Museum for field research. As the only special museum displaying urban ice and snow culture in China, the research team has an in-depth understanding of Harbin's ice and snow development history, the characteristics ,the cultural values , and the future development direction of ice and snow culture.

Through this visit and research, the team members have enriched their understanding of "ice and snow culture", deepened their understanding of its artistic expression forms, appreciated the techniques and works of ice printmaking master Professor Zhu Xiaodong, investigated the intervention forms of public art in Harbin urban space, and accumulated a series of valuable documents such as pictures and videos in preparation for the team to conduct further research in the future.
