Seminar Inauguration
From December 3th to 4th, the Seminar on “Reflection and Development of China-ASEAN International Education in the Post-pandemic Period” was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Under the guidance of China Education Association for International Exchange, China-ASEAN International Education Association and other organizations, the seminar was jointly organized by Krirk University, Thailand-China International School and Beijing Language and Culture University, aiming to boost ties between China and ASEAN, carry out educational cooperation and enhance regional cultural exchanges. As one of the co-organizers of the seminar, CIT participated in the relevant activities. President Quan Chen and Vice President Chaoyong Wang attended the seminar.
During the seminar, representatives of CIT mainly participated in the forum of Sino-Thai New Higher Education Cooperation and Exchange. Educators, experts and scholars from dozens of universities and academic institutions in China, Russia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, etc. conducted professional analysis and discussion about the theme. Experts and scholars in various fields deeply analyzed and explored new ideas and measures of higher education in the era of symbiosis with the epidemic, offering suggestions on the development of “the Belt and Road Initiative” education links.
After 14 years of development, the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week has become the sole intergovernmental exchange and cooperation platform between China and ASEAN with education as the theme, making crucial contributions to promoting China-ASEAN education cooperation and serving the “the Belt and Road Initiative”. This seminar is a year-round activity of 2022 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, which will construct an international exchange platform for China ASEAN countries to carry out cooperation in higher education and basic education, and will be of significance for boosting ties between China and ASEAN countries and enhancing cultural and educational exchanges between regions.
