On September 27, Changchun Institute of Technology (CIT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chartered Institute of Technology (CITECH), Singapore, reaching an agreement on international cooperation and exchange. The signing ceremony was held simultaneously live on the video conference at CIT and CITECH.
The signing ceremony was jointly attended by Mr. Quan Chen, President of CIT, Mr. Chaoyong Wang, Vice President of CIT, Mr. David Lee, President of CITECH and Mr. John Lim, Vice President of CITECH. The signing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Yuxi Zhao, Division Chief of the Division of International Relations of CIT.

At the signing ceremony, President Quan Chen pointed out that China and Singapore, as friendly neighbors separated by a strip of water, have a profound friendship with a long history. As an important field in people-to-people exchanges, colleges and universities play an irreplaceable role in enhancing the friendship and promoting the ideological and cultural exchanges between the two countries. With the joint efforts of the two colleges, the two colleges will certainly give full play to the respective advantages, jointly plan the road of development in student exchange activities, teachers’ mutual visits, curriculum research cooperation and other fields, stick together to work on the China-ASEAN education exchange and cooperation, and construct a community with a shared future for mankind.
President David Lee, said in his speech that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two colleges under the background of the “the Belt and Road” initiative was a sincere pleasure and a complete cause for celebration. He hoped that in the future, the two colleges could deepen exchanges, focus on the achievements, rely on the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership, strengthen the friendship, work together, and achieve new cooperation results in international exchanges, high-quality talent cultivation, etc.
