In order to promote academic exchanges, learn the latest digital technologies, policies and practical experience, and promote research and development in the field of engineering and construction, on June 26, 2024, the "Digital Technology Application in the Field of Engineering Construction" academic seminar, sponsored by CIT Scientific Research Office, undertaken by BIM Technology Industry School and co-organized by the BIM Branch of Jilin Civil Engineering and Architecture Society, was successfully held in the Report Hall on the 13th floor of CIT No.7 Teaching Building.
The report invited Liu Xiting, deputy chief architect of Jilin Jigui Urban Architectural Design Co., LTD., director of Urban and Rural Construction Data Intelligence Institute, as the keynote speaker. Director Liu Xiting focused on the "application of digital technology in the field of engineering construction", and introduced in detail the current application status, development direction and specific cases of digital technology in the field of engineering construction. He pointed out that with the development of technology such as computer network, big data, Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, digitization, information and intelligence have become important trends in the field of engineering construction. The report also covers the application stages of BIM technology in engineering construction, as well as the prospects of emerging technologies such as AI, AIGC and LoT.
This academic report is especially aimed at the first graduates and current students of the Digital Construction Micro major of CIT, intended to help them understand the latest developments in the industry and clarify their career planning direction. Liu Xiting stressed in the report that in the future , there is a strong demand for cross-border comprehensive talents, BIM modeling talents and composite talents who understand design in the field of engineering construction. He encouraged students to actively learn and master digital technology, keep up with the pace of industry development, and enhance their competitiveness.
The attending students and teachers expressed that through this academic report, they not only deepened their understanding of the application of digital technology in the field of engineering construction, but also had a clearer understanding of their own career development and future planning. The report session is rich in content, with detailed case studies, strong professionalism and guidance, providing valuable industry forward-looking views for teachers and students.
The academic report not only provided an opportunity for teachers and students of BIM Technology Industry School of CIT to exchange ideas with industry experts, but also laid a solid foundation for the school's future scientific research and teaching work in the field of engineering construction. The college will continue to be committed to promoting academic exchanges and cooperation, improving the level of scientific research and teaching in the field of engineering construction, cultivating more high-quality professional talents, and contributing to the development of the industry.
