CIT Won First Prize in the "Power Innovation Award"

Recently, the China Electricity Council released the winners of the 2023 Power Innovation Award. Professor Hu Nan's team, Tsinghua University, Beijing Jingneng Electric Power Co., LTD., Inner Mongolia Jinghai Coal Gangue Power Co., LTD., and other seven units jointly completed the achievement of "Research and application of circulating fluidized bed boiler pollutant deep suppression technology based on gas component division" won the first prize of technical achievements.

The project independently developed the deep pollutant suppression technology of CFB boiler based on gas component zoning. Aiming at the problems of uneven air/fuel matching, excessive ammonia injection, excessive calcium injection, boiler thermal efficiency decline, environmental protection cost increase and so on, a deep pollutant suppression method of CFB boiler based on high temperature flue gas zoning monitoring technology was proposed. The project has applied for more than 40 patents, formulated 2 industry standards, published 3 academic monographs, and published more than 30 papers. The appraisal committee headed by Academician Qin Yukun unanimously agreed that the project has improved the economy, environmental protection, flexibility and reliability of circulating fluidized bed boiler operation, and has generally reached the international leading level.


The Power Innovation Award was established by the China Electricity Council to reward outstanding innovation and contribution in power science and technology achievements. The rewards are recorded in the "Catalogue of Social Science and Technology Awards" published by the Office of National Science and Technology Awards.
