On Feb. 6, President Chen Quan, and Vice-President Wang Chaoyong visited and sympathized with eight master's degree students in municipal engineering who had been working in the off-campus practice base to carry out scientific research during the Spring Festival. The university leaders inspected the operation of the practice base, asked the students concernedly about their study and life, highly praised the students' dedication to scientific research and spirit of innovation. Meanwhile, they advised students to combine work and rest, and pay attention to experiment safety.
The Pilot Research and Practice Base for the Urban Sewage Treatment of The School of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering is located in the courtyard of Bailin Water Changchun High-Tech Wastewater Treatment Co., Ltd, which was built in 2014 and covers an area of 400 square meters, with a pilot plant with a daily treatment capacity of 1000m³. Postgraduate students of municipal engineering can carry out scientific research and transformation of results in the pilot base, which plays a great role in improving the quality of postgraduate training.
