On June 8, Changchun Institute of Technology (CIT) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Cambodian University for Specialties (CUS), reaching agreement on international cooperation and exchange. The signing ceremony was held simultaneously live on the video conference at CIT and CUS.

At the signing ceremony, President Quan Chen pointed out that China and Cambodia had a long-standing friendship and played a leading role in building a China-ASEAN Community of shared future. CUS was CIT’s first partner in Cambodia and the first university to establish friendly relations in ASEAN countries. With the joint efforts of both sides, CIT and CUS would give full play to their respective advantages, jointly plan the road of development in the fields of cooperative school running projects, exchange of foreign students, engineering and technology training, create a brand project of China Cambodia higher education cooperation and exchange, and make full contributions to the construction of a win-win China-Cambodia community of shared future.
Dr. Meas Bora, Rector of CUS, said that CIT has a long history with outstanding achievements. The signing ceremony co-organized by CUS and CIT would push forward the internationalization of higher education between the two parties. According to the Memorandum of Cooperation, the two parties will cooperate in the fields of teacher-student exchanges, academic exchanges, teaching and scientific research cooperation. He said that universities should not only constantly strive to develop their own abilities, but endeavor to find ways to improve students’ abilities and quality, so as to meet the evolving market challenges faced with in the context of regional globalization and integration. He sincerely hope that the signing of the memorandum of cooperation would benefit more teachers and students.
At the signing ceremony, Prof. Chaoyong Wang , Vice President of CIT, and Dr. Chhorn Than, Dean Faculty of English of CUS, gave an introduction to CIT and CUS respectively, including school running philosophy, talent cultivation, academic research, school-enterprise cooperation, international cooperation and exchange.
