In order to promote the construction of the scientific research team of the school, stimulate and promote the initiation and cultivation of high-level scientific research projects and the publication of high-level paper results, with the strong support of the Scientific Research Office of the School, the School of Foreign Languages recently held the first "Science and Innovation Salon" activity of the year. The activity was hosted by Sun Weina, vice president of scientific research, and mainly focused on the research theme of the school's 7 university-level scientific research teams. More than 30 members of the school's science and innovation teams and teachers from the School of Foreign Languages participated in the activity.
The salon activity began with Mr. Wang Yong, head of the "Krashen Comprehensible Input Hypothesis Research Team", presenting the literature review entitled "AI in ELT: A Literature Review of the application of artificial intelligence in English research and Teaching". Starting with the role and function of ChatGPT, Wang Yong gave examples to illustrate the convenience of AI technology in thesis writing, such as thesis topic selection and article polishing, and gave his own insights on the application value of AI technology in scientific research, and shared the content of literature review and writing experience in 9 papers he wrote with the help of AI technology.
Subsequently, Mao Xiaoxiao ,the teacher of "Translation Communication and National Governance Discourse System Construction Research Innovation Team" and Dong Yitong from the "English Language Service Research Innovation Team" respectively made a report entitled "International Communication and Foreign Language Human Language Communication" and "The Development of Language Industry in the Digital Economy Era" . The two teachers elaborated on communication and communication studies, the communicative function of verbal language in communication, the role of foreign language speakers in international communication, the general situation of the development of language industry, the main research topics of the economy of language industry, the economy of the language industry and the development of cross-border e-commerce and other related aspects, combined with the research topics of the school's scientific research team.
Scientific research is the "source of vitality" for teaching, and the two complement each other and complement each other. In the past few years, the college has held many academic report activities in conjunction with other units, and it is the first time to hold an academic salon independently. The event aims to provide teachers with an opportunity for face-to-face academic exchanges, to share and discuss the phased achievements and problems of innovation team building. Teachers generally believe that this activity is not only of great significance to the exploration of the future research direction of individuals, but also adds new impetus and vitality to the development of the college.
