On May 14, 2022, the 15th Social Practice and Science and Technology Competition on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction for College Students of Changchun Institute of Technology (CIT), hosted by the School of College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, organized by the School of Energy and Power Engineering and contributed by Graduate School, and the National Competition Selection has come to a successful conclusion.
Online Competition
Since the contest has been launched in March, a total of 65 teams from 10 teaching units, including the School of Energy and Power Engineering, the Graduate School and the School of International Education, have participated in this contest. Due to the epidemic situation, the final was held online. Through intense competition, 6 first prizes, 9 second prizes and 18 third prizes were awarded in the final, among which 15 awarded works would be presented in the national competition.
At the opening ceremony of the final, Vice President Bangcheng Zhang awarded the honor “Lifetime Achievement Award for Instructors of the Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Competition for College Students of Changchun Institute of Technology” to Professor Shi Sun, Dean of the School of Energy and Power Engineering, in recognition of his contribution to the competition over the years.
The Social Practice and Science and Technology Competition on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction for College Students at CIT has been held for 15 years since 2008. The theme of the competition focuses on the national energy and environmental policies in combination with the major national needs. It has gradually become an important platform for scientific and technological exchanges among college students of CIT.
