The International Joint Research Center for New Energy Power Generation and Network Control Technology of Jilin Province was designated as a provincial-level international science and technology cooperation platform by the Department of Science and Technology of Jilin Province on December 19, 2022.
The center has 47 members, including academicians from the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, fellows of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, national-level experts, recipients of the State Council Special Allowance, Jilin Province's flexible-introduction talents, Changbai Mountain Distinguished Professors, and other senior experts from the province.
Spanning over 2,500 square meters, the center hosts multiple research platforms with a total investment exceeding 5 million yuan, including a 6kW small-scale wind power grid-connected system, a 20kW active power filter, a 30kW/60kWh battery energy storage system, a 20kW three-phase adjustable RCL load, a 20kWp photovoltaic grid-connected system, a microgrid control system, and a tidal current energy generation system.
The center focuses on four key research areas:
• Key technical challenges in the large-scale wind power integration into power systems;
• Key technologies for multi-energy complementary energy internet, equipment with intelligent control, data processing;
• Smart building-integrated energy storage systems;
• Smart marine energy generation systems.
This platform plays a pivotal role in addressing global climate change and energy challenges. By advancing innovation and application in wind power technology, multi-energy systems, low-carbon building energy systems, and marine energy generation, aligned with international standards, it provides technical support for Jilin's renewable energy development and strengthens the province's capacity to establish itself as a clean energy powerhouse.
