Recently, the Chinese Society of Graphics announced the results of the 22nd National BIM Skill Level examination, and the students of CIT digital construction micro-major achieved excellent results in this examination.
The passing rate of applicants for digital construction micro-major is 84%, far exceeding the national average of 40%-50%. 95% of the candidates have achieved good or above results, with 7 students achieving an excellent score of 91. This fully demonstrates the students’ profound professional knowledge and excellent practical skills, demonstrating the prospects for the sustainable development of digital construction micro-specialty and the educational value of school’s micro-specialty education mode.
In recent years, CIT has actively explored the cultivation mode of composite applied talents, encouraged teaching units to focus on national major strategies and regional economic and social development needs, guided by student career development, leveraged the advantages and characteristics of disciplines and majors, promoted the cross integration of disciplinary and professional knowledge, and independently carry out the micro-major construction. In May 2023, CIT took the lead in piloting the establishment of a digital construction micro-majors in universities across the province, and selected 56 students from 13 majors on campus. In November 2023, CIT recommended five micro-majors with advantages and characteristics, including "Digital Construction", to participate in the selection process of the Jilin Provincial Department of Education's micro major pilot project.
CIT will further strengthen the planning and guidance of micro-major construction, improve the "Micro-major Management Measures of Changchun Institute of Technology", promote micro-major resource sharing, strengthen teaching quality monitoring, improve micro-major teaching quality, create a number of micro-major construction projects with outstanding characteristics, meet social needs, and be favored by students, deeply explore new modes for cultivating composite applied talents, and help the school continuously improve the quality of talent cultivation.
