Recently, the Department of Education of Jilin Province issued the "Notice on the announcement of the 2023 Jilin Province Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan 2.0 professional construction project List" (Jijiao Gao (2023) No. 26), CIT's three majors, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, and Geological Engineering have been approved for project construction. This is another major breakthrough for CIT to continuously strengthen the construction of new engineering training system, explore innovative talent training models in engineering, and improve the quality of engineering education talent training during the"14th Five-Year Plan" period.
Carrying out the construction of the Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan 2.0 professional project is an important measure taken by the Jilin Provincial Department of Education to deeply implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, continuously deepen the reform of the new engineering talent training mode, accelerate the development and construction of new engineering, and cultivate a large number of outstanding engineering talents that meet the needs of economic and social development. The three majors of CIT, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Automation, and Geological Engineering, focus on industrial demand orientation, constantly improve students' professional quality and comprehensive competitiveness, and comprehensively deepen the reform of higher engineering education.
