To further implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on promoting ideological and cultural work, promoting socialist core values, inheriting and carrying forward Chinese excellent traditional culture, on October 12th, the Center for Aesthetic and Labor Education of CIT jointly organized with the Youth Volunteer Association of the Communist Youth League Economic and Technological Development Zone Committee to carry out the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Art: Block Printing in Autumn" cultural assistance activity in Jinhu Community, Xinglongshan Town.
Before the activity began, the students introduced the development process of plant toppling technology of China's intangible cultural heritage to the residents of the community, explained in detail the basic principles, application scenarios and precautions of one type of plant toppling technology -The Plant Knocking and Dyeing, and demonstrated the production steps . Afterwards, the students assisted the seniors who participated in the activity to make plant percussion dyeing works. Everyone unleashes their imagination, creates freely, and experiences the joy of plant dyeing to the fullest.
After the production, the grandparents who participated in the activity held up their own unique plant dyeing works, and their faces were filled with joy. Through this activity, the elderly people feel the charm of traditional culture, further understand intangible cultural heritage, and gain happiness in learning and practice, and truly achieve "Old age has learning, old age has fun".
