Recently, Jilin Provincial Electrical Engineering Society announced the 2023 annual Science and Technology Award winners. Associate Professor Yang Jing of CIT School of Energy and Power Engineering and Northeast Electric Power University jointly completed the achievement of "Key technology and application of SO2NOX control of coal-fired units with wide load and multi-operating conditions" won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award.
The project has successfully built a technical system for emission reduction of flue gas pollutants under wide load and multiple operating conditions of coal-fired units. This system provides strong technical support for the safe, stable and efficient operation of desulfurization and denitrification system in coal-fired power plants. The project team actively responded to the national call for "clean and efficient use of coal". The project is committed to promoting coal power generation enterprises to achieve the environmental goal of "ultra-low emissions". Through years of industry-university-research joint research, Mr. Yang has made a number of innovative technical achievements and breakthrough progress, and has made important contributions to the sustainable development of the power industry.
