CIT Students do well 

in the 7th Huacan Award Design Competition

On November 20th, 2021, it was learned on the official website of the 7th Huacan Award Design Competition that a student’s design“5G Intelligent Search and Rescue Vehicle”, directed by Professor Wenxin Duan from the School of Art and Design, won the National First Prize. “Amphibious Rescue Vehicle”, Composable AI Disinfection and Epidemic Prevention Vehicle” and “Sterilized Wardrobe” won the National Excellence Award.


Meanwhile, Professor Wenxin Duan won the Excellent Instructor Award, and Changchun Institute of Technology (CIT) won the Excellent Organization Award as well.


The entries recommended by CIT finally stood out and achieved great success through the selection of Northeast Division of the 7th Huacan Award Design Competition and anonymous evaluation of national judges, which is an affirmation for the teaching achievements of the School of Art and Design of CIT. In recent years, the School of Art and Design has taken academic competitions as the driving force, closely combined the academic competitions with the cultivation of applied talents, strengthened the design application in the “integration of curriculum and competitions”, and explored innovative ways to cultivate characteristic practical designers continually.
